MGAA stalwart Staddon joins Landmark to drive its growth strategy

UK-based specialist managing general agent (MGA)  Landmark has appointed former MGAA managing director Peter Staddon to support its future growth strategy.

Staddon will join Landmark as a non-executive chairman, subject to FCA approval.

He retired as the managing director of the Managing General Agents Association (MGAA) at the end of June. Staddon was the driving force behind developing the MGAA. He has over 25 years of delegated authority experience, coupled with many years leading the insurance industry through market initiatives and educational forums.

Staddon commented: “I’m delighted to be joining Landmark, Ross Lazaroo-Hood, Sitki Gelmen and David Robinson who have developed the Landmark with a strong foundation and a first-class team surrounding them. The entrepreneurial spirit from these chaps and underwriting expertise from the team is a winning formula that does provide their loyal broking partners with the tools to engage with clients wants and needs in these very challenging times. I look forward to encourage and expand upon the exciting vision for Landmark’s future.”

Ross Lazaroo-Hood, group CEO of Landmark, added: “Having Peter join the Landmark family is an exciting opportunity for us all. On behalf of the other Directors Sitki Gelmen and David Robinson, we are overwhelmed for his appointment to our Board. His vast knowledge and leadership experience enhances our board and at a very exciting time in Landmark’s growth strategy. We look forward to working with Peter over the coming months to advance our broker proposition and assist in our existing platform into state-of-the-art products.”
