BREAKING NEWS: Mitsui Sumitomo buys Amlin for £3.4bn

Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company will acquire Amlin Insurance for ¥634.7 billion (£3.4 billion), the company has confirmed. Charles Philipps, chief executive of Amlin, said the deal would provide Amin with the “financial muscle” and scale to succeed long term.
