MS Amlin boosts energy unit with new renewables underwriter
Lloyd’s global specialty re/insurer MS Amlin Underwriting (MS AUL) has hired a new renewables underwriter in its natural resources team to further develop and grow its energy portfolio.
Neil Cowan joined the business at the start of April. He comes from Renewable Energy Systems, where for the past six years he was risk manager EMEA.
His previous role included providing wide ranging insurance and risk management support for projects comprising wind/solar and battery storage.
Julian Samuel, head of natural resources, MS Amlin Underwriting, said: “I am delighted to welcome Neil Cowan to MS Amlin’s Natural Resources Team as our Renewables Underwriter. Neil brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience from his previous role in renewable risk management, which will complement the considerable talent in the existing team, as well as adding his extensive knowledge and experience to this developing sector.
