MS Amlin records $780m nat cat losses

MS Amlin has recorded ¥87.4 billion ($780 million) in nat cat losses including hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria as well as earthquakes in Mexico.

The consolidated net income for the second quarter (July-September) of its financial year ending March 2018 shrank to ¥75.7 billion from ¥98.4 billion in the same period a year ago.

The company now forecasts a net income of ¥145.00 billion for the financial year ending March 2018, 31.1 percent below the results recorded in the previous year.
