Neon appoints two non-exec directors

Specialist Lloyd’s insurer Neon has appointed Tom Hulst and Gavin Hunter as non-executive directors of Neon’s Bermuda operations with immediate effect.

Hulst brings overs 20 years of experience to Neon, having held several senior positions with re/insurers in Bermuda and the US.

He most recently served as the chief executive of Ariel Re, and prior to that held various positions within the General Re Group. Hulst is also a member of the Executive Committee of The Association of Bermuda International Companies (ABIC).

Hunter joins Neon from specialist re/insurance consulting firm BenchStrength International. Prior to serving BenchStrength as its chairman and president, he was the chief operation officer of North American re/insurance software company Rebus Systems.

With over 30 years of experience in the industry and management expertise, Hunter is also credited for launching BenchStrength in the US, London and Bermuda markets, and Rebus units in the US and Bermuda.

Neon opened an office in Bermuda earlier this year to grows its international footprint.
