Northern Lloyd hires Miller/Aon P&I specialist to drive growth strategy

Germany-based marine insurance broker  Northern Lloyd has hired a protection and indemnity expert from  Miller Insurance to strengthen its presence in the London and international insurance markets.

Paul Cole (pictured) has been appointed as head of P&I at Northern Lloyd Group. He will also take on the additional role of regional director UK.

Cole started his career in the maritime insurance industry in 1994 and has since held director roles at Aon and BMS Harris & Dixon, among others, before joining Miller in 2018.

Stefan Gläbe, Northern Lloyd's sole shareholder, said: "The signing of Paul Cole is another milestone in the further development of our international growth strategy. Paul Cole's excellent long-standing relationships with the various P&I Clubs will enable us to provide the best possible service to our international client base, especially in the current challenging times in the P&I market."
