One Broker snaps up Gibbs Denley Insurance

UK's One Broker Group has acquired Cambridge-based Gibbs Denley Insurance Services (GDIS) to expand its products and services.

"We are absolutely delighted to welcome Gibbs Denley Insurance Services to the One Broker Group," said Robin Plaster, CEO of One Broker Group, on Aug. 15.

GDIS provides bespoke cover for a range of risks including public liability insurance for businesses and personal car insurance for individuals.

One Broker was formed in 2009 and is the holding company of Norwich-based broker KTIB, which specialises in the energy, haulage, motor trade and private ambulance insurance sectors, as well as Cambridge-based broker NWBIB, which specialises in the technology, education and rented property insurance sectors, and broker PJW, which specialises in property and taxi insurance.

"This deal further reinforces our commitment to Cambridge and provides us with an excellent platform to expand our products and services across the region," Plaster noted.

GDIS director Paul Gibbs commented: "We have entered into this as the next step in the evolution of our broking services. The insurance market is constantly developing and it is important to us that we remain ahead of these changes and put ourselves in the strongest position possible to serve both our customers and our staff going forward."
