PERILS reveals final loss estimate for UK floods caused by Desmond

The fourth and final loss estimate for the floods in UK, which occurred in December last year due to storm Desmond, has reached £604 million.

PERILS, the catastrophe insurance data firm, has revealed the revised estimate of insured property market loss with date from data from CRESTA (Catastrophe Risk Evaluation and Standardising Target Accumulations) zone and by the property sub-lines residential and commercial.

The company had released its third loss estimate of £597 million in June this year.
