Probitas 1492 hires Watkins exec for CPO role

Probitas 1492, the underwriting Syndicate at Lloyd’s, has appointed Antony Dodson as chief pricing officer (CPO).

Dodson joins Probitas 1492 after seven years working as senior pricing actuary for Munich Re’s Watkins Syndicate. Dodson was responsible for leading the actuarial pricing team and oversaw the technical pricing support for all business underwritten by the Syndicate, the total of which was approaching $1 billion.

Ash Bathia, chief executive officer of Probitas 1492, said: “Flexibility and innovation are engrained in our company ethos and, with Antony’s expertise, we can deliver solutions for large, complex risks and portfolios – competitively - by making more informed underwriting decisions.
