Probitas 1492 to increase general liability limit to £15m

Probitas 1492, the underwriting syndicate at Lloyd’s specialising in property and casualty (P/C) re/insurance solutions, will be increasing its employers and general liability limit to £15 million from 1 January, 2016. The syndicate, which began underwriting on 12 October, said it expects the increase to give momentum to business from global emerging markets.  “We’re already seeing quite a lot of business from emerging markets and this increase in general liability limit will open even more doors for us,” said Michelle Shaw, senior underwriter, international liability. “We can bring the Lloyd’s market to territories which don’t easily have that access.”
