QBE Europe appoints new leader to drive strategic priorities across core claims
Re/insurer QBE has appointed a new head of core claims for its European operations.
Scott Jacobs, in his new role, will lead a department operating across multiple lines of business, handling claims up to a value of £500,000. His role is based in Leeds and reports to Mike East, claims director.
Jacobs joined QBE in 2011, and most recently was a service excellence manager in core claims. He takes over from Nathan Fuller, who was recently appointed chief operations officer of QBE International.
East said: “I am delighted that Scott will take on this new role to drive our strategic priorities across core claims. He has been instrumental in introducing an innovative culture across the QBE claims function, including the implementation of bionic technology to ensure our claims employees have more time to focus on customers.”
Jacobs, head of claims, core, European operations added: “I look forward to continuing to focus on embedding a customer centric culture, increasing operational efficiency and building an expert and empowered workforce for the future.”
