RT Specialty expands to Hawaii with new office and key hires

RT Specialty, a wholesale brokerage unit of Ryan Specialty Group, has appointed Jason Witthun and Marie-Louise Lundqvist to lead its new Honolulu, Hawaii office.

The Honolulu office will handle all excess and surplus (E&S) lines of business including property catastrophe, commercial / residential property, general liability, professional liability, among others on an open market and binding basis.

"Opening an office in Honolulu with these two outstanding professionals allows RT Specialty to bring our expansive network and new products to Hawaii," said Timothy Turner, RT Specialty chairman and CEO.

Witthun most recently worked in Hawaii as a commercial lines underwriter and E&S broker. He started his career in London broking multiple lines, then moved to the US and focused on South American business.

Lundqvist began her career as a commercial underwriter working on all lines of business and continued in the insurance industry as a binding authority underwriter which she will continues at RT Specialty.

Turner commented: "Jason and Marie-Louise are top rate professionals who bring exceptional creativity and service to their clients, and their hiring further strengthens our Western Division leadership team. We are excited about this expansion into Hawaii."
