Ryan Specialty’s EmergIn hires expert to lead push into ‘large and complex’ cyber market
London-based EmergIn Risk, a Ryan Specialty Group managing general underwriter, has strengthened its cyber, technology, and media underwriting capabilities with the hiring of a cyber specialist from Occam Underwriting.
George Paraskeva brings a diverse experience in both cyber insurance and the wider cybersecurity industry. He was most recently cyber security director and underwriting lead at Occam, prior to which he served as information security officer at MS Amlin.
Paraskeva has also worked as an integral part of BAE Systems’ cybersecurity practice where he advised clients including financial services institutions, Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), and multi-national defense contractors on the development and implementation of their cyber security programmes.
Paraskeva is joining EmergIn as practice leader in its London office to help drive the business’ capability in the “large and complex” cyber-risk market.
Additionally, EmergIn has promoted Peter Williams to the newly created role of distribution lead. Williams will help propel the company’s offering to meet the needs of cyber, technology E&O, and media placements.
