SCOR hands aviation lines to fresh specialty leader

SCOR will hand aviation lines to its recently appointed specialty chief as to-date chief underwriting officer for the line Andrea Sommerland (pictured left) retires.

Adrian Paxon (pictured right) has been with  SCOR since January as chief underwriting officer for the swathe of global specialty lines, including line supervising Sommerland in aviation, Andreas Arnold for Engineering and Sylwia GAuden for marine and energy.

Paxon came to  SCOR from a roughly eight-year stint with Endurance Specialty Insurance, where he most recently served as head of global specialty after having started by leading global marine and energy.

Prior to that, Paxon had been with such names as PartnerRe, Gerling Global Re and Leslie and Goodwin over a thirty-year career that bobbed into and out of the London market.
