Skuld completes acquisition of SMA/Gerling Norway

Marine insurance provider Skuld has completed the share purchase agreement for SMA/Gerling Norway and is now the owner of 100 percent shares of SMA, free of any encumbrances.

SMA/Gerling Norway is now rebranded to Skuld Marine Agency. The company had  announced the acquisition in May 2016.

SMA has operated as an agent for Skuld since November 2016 for renewals attaching from 1 January 2017. Skuld reported that all of SMA’s clients renewing at 1st January have accepted to renew on Skuld paper.
