Validus opens Boston office
Bermuda-based Validus has strengthened its US platform with the opening of a new office in Boston.
The operation, Validus Underwriters, will be home to the company’s new property brokerage team. Business will be exclusively produced through wholesale brokers, written on Western World paper, and comprised of US surplus lines risk.
The team will be led by Bill Steinberg, a former technical underwriting manager at Beazley USA
Steve Nadeau, who has worked with Steinberg in the past, also brings a wealth of experience to the new team, having over 20 years of industry experience.
Ed Noonan, Validus’ chairman and chief executive officer, said: “The launch of our property brokerage unit in conjunction with the opening of our Boston office adds to Validus’ growing presence in the United States following our recent acquisition of Western World.
