VIG Re strengthens board with new exec
Czech Republic-based reinsurer VIG Re has appointed Tomasz Rowicki to its board of directors, effective March 1.
He joined Vienna Insurance Group in 2003 as reinsurance specialist of Compensa Poland. Over the past decade, he has been managing the reinsurance departments of Compensa and PZM.
He currently serves as a member of the managing board of Compensa Non-Life Lithuania, responsible for underwriting, reinsurance, claims and IT. Rowicki is also credited for setting up VIG's Baltic non-life undertakings in 2012.

“I know Tomasz for more than 12 years and appreciate his deep knowledge of reinsurance industry and his impressive track record as a manager. I am delighted to have him with us.”
Karl Fink, chairman of the supervisory board, added: "When we undertake a recruitment process for a new board member, we have a set of criteria that includes an appreciation for the VIG culture. Tomasz Rowicki will be an excellent complement to the impressively diverse talents of our other board."
