Willis Towers Watson bolsters NA Finex leadership with key appointments

Broker  Willis Towers Watson has strengthened its financial, executive and professional risks (Finex) teams in the US with new key appointments.

Samuel Stern has been appointed as director of Southeast Finex commercial team leader, reporting into Chris LoRe, senior director, commercial East leader. Stern will be responsible for client retention and as well as building the Finex market in the Southeast.

Stern was originally at J. Smith Lanier / MMA Southeast, as senior vice president within its executive and professional liability practice. He has direct experience in the placement of large and complex insurance programmes for private and public companies alike for flagship organisations across numerous industry classes.

Additionally, Shonda Manigault has been promoted to associate director for the Southeast Finex commercial team to partner with Stern in developing strategy, execution and management of the Southeast Finex business. Manigault has been the lead broker on some of the largest accounts within the region and also leads as Finex’s retail industry leader.

Finally, Kenneth Latham has also joined Willis Towers Watson Finex as associate director, Mid-Atlantic Finex commercial team. Latham will be responsible for all aspects of the client service cycle for the mid-Atlantic book of business, contributing to and supporting new business activities within the region, and participating in key Finex initiatives.

Latham was previously at Chubb as vice president for North America financial lines. He has management experience in professional liability insurance including risk analysis, contract review and negotiation, product development, reinsurance, new business development and compliance.
