Worldwide Broker Network signals major expansion with senior appointments

The Worldwide Broker Network (WBN) has unveiled two senior appointments as it looks to further expand its network of independent insurance brokers and employee benefits consultants in 2023 and beyond.

Steven Woods (Pictured Left) has been appointed as global director of data, technology and security, and Liz Yovich (Pictured Right) as director of global engagement and employee benefits.

In his new role, Woods will be responsible for the strategy and execution of WBN’s technology solutions, reporting to Olga Collins, CEO of WBN. Woods has over 20 years’ experience and leadership in the technology sector, with expertise in establishing strategies to enable efficiencies, future resiliency and alignment of the IT strategy with business objectives. He comes from a broad range of IT leadership positions where he provided consultation and solutions for areas spanning cybersecurity, infrastructure, risk management and capital expenditure reductions.

Yovich joined WBN as member relations manager in April 2021, from member firm IMA Global Risk & Benefits. She has supported the growth of the network, including the addition of 19 new members. In her new role, Yovich will be responsible for driving the expansion of the WBN Employee Benefits practice, to include strategy and execution resources, and supporting the team on business development initiatives.

Collins said: “Steven holds a wealth of experience in the tech sector, and we are delighted to welcome him to the WBN family. The addition of his expertise will allow us to further develop our collaboration tools, deliver bespoke programmes across the network and provide our members and clients with the technology services they deserve.

“We’re also delighted to announce Liz’s promotion which is an exciting and integral part of a broader strategic initiative to build out our employee benefits strategy. She is a strong, collaborative leader with a passion for innovation, plus a proven track record with WBN, so is ideally placed for this role which will be critical to our continued success.”
