WR Berkley’s E&S head retires; successor named

US insurer WR Berkley Corporation has appointed Miklos Kallo as the president of Berkley Regional Specialty.

Kallo succeeds Paul McAuliffe, who is set to retire at year-end after working for 15 years in the company.

Kallo joined WR Berkley in 1999, having most recently served its two operating units in senior executive positions.

"Mick has a wealth of knowledge regarding the specialty insurance business and is an outstanding leader. Our agents and customers will benefit from this expertise as well as his experience at WR Berkley,” said W Robert Berkley, Jr, president and chief executive officer.

"Paul has done an excellent job in building Berkley Regional Specialty’s presence as an important excess and surplus lines provider for WR Berkley agents over the past 7 years and we are pleased that he will continue during the transition."
