WTW swoops for Sompo, ex-Chubb top official to lead US corporate risk & broking business
Global broker WTW (Willis Towers Watson) has tapped a top Sompo official, formerly of Chubb, to lead its corporate risk and broking (CRB) business in North America.
Michael Chang (Pictured) will replace Mike Liss as head of CBR North America. Liss plans to retire in the first half of 2023.
Chang will be responsible for leading and developing WTW’s business that comprises more than 3,000 colleagues in 63 offices across US, Canada and Bermuda.
Chang most recently served for six years as co-leader of Sompo International’s Global Insurance and CEO of its Global Risk Solutions businesses, after spending nearly 20 years at Chubb, where he held various senior roles, including leadership of Chubb’s Commercial Insurance Global Risk Management Group and the Global Real Estate unit. Chang also has deep experience in analytics.
