NHC rolls out enhanced hurricane cone, Hawaii storm surge alerts for 2026

NOAA’s National Hurricane Center (NHC) has introduced a new operational hurricane track cone map and expanded storm surge alerts to Hawaii, as part of product upgrades for the 2026 hurricane season aimed at improving hazard visibility and preparedness.
