Not ‘grey swan’, but Milton still among costliest hurricanes

Hurricane Milton may have avoided the feared ‘grey swan’ event, but is still expected to be one of the most expensive hurricanes to hit west Florida. Moody’s RMS estimates combined private market losses from Hurricanes Helene and Milton at $30–$50 billion, with a "best estimate" of $37 billion, down from earlier projections.
