Price Forbes powers up energy drive with senior talent from Miller & Aon
Price Forbes, part of Ardonagh Specialty, has expanded its energy and renewables capabilities with senior hires from brokers Miller and Aon.
Price Forbes has appointed Dan Nicholls (pictured left) to its energy leadership team, and Ray Spreadbury as head of renewables.
Nicholls has joined the business after 11 years at Miller, including four as head of onshore energy. Prior to that, he spent six years as an energy broker at Alesco. He has experience across midstream and downstream energy, power utility, and renewables, as well developing alternative risk transfer and parametric solutions for clients.
The broker said his appointment is part of a move to bring together Price Forbes’ teams across conventional power, renewables and downstream energy.
Additionally, Ray Spreadbury (pictured right) has joined the business from Aon, where he was executive director offshore renewables and previously global head of renewable energy at Marsh.
Andrew Draycott, CEO - energy, transportation and specie at Price Forbes, said: “At Price Forbes we want to be at the forefront of the energy transition, and structure our teams to provide a coordinated advisory and broking solution that reflects our clients’ own evolution. Our connected interdisciplinary teams will match the changing energy landscape - working on hugely complex and world-critical solutions to support our clients to create cleaner, cheaper and more secure energy sources.
“We think the future requires combined skillsets to address our clients’ needs. Dan and Ray are great additions to our existing team of energy experts and product line specialists. We will continue to recruit in this space to match the priorities of the energy sector and navigate the insurance market on their behalf.”
Nicholls said: “I am excited to have joined a growing and dynamic energy team at Price Forbes. The depth of expertise and specialism has already impressed me; and I’m looking forward to working with my new colleagues to grow our business.”
