QBE bolsters European trade credit leadership with senior hires
Re/insurer QBE has bolstered its trade credit leadership with a senior appointment for its European operations.
Aidan Quinn has been appointed to the role of head of commercial underwriting, trade credit. He will oversee the service and renewal of the existing commercial portfolio while also seeking profitable new business.
He joins the European business from QBE’s Australian division, where he held the role of head of commercial underwriting, based in Melbourne.
Quinn has more than 15 years of experience in the trade credit industry in Australia and in the UK, following seven years in the banking sector. He is based in London.
Additionally, the company has appointed Catalina Romero as a senior risk underwriter and Iain Bird as head of surety.
Romero has more than 15 years of experience in financial services and has also joined the trade credit team. Previously, she held roles at Coface, Allianz and Barclays Bank.
Bird has more than 25 years of experience, most recently with Great American, Travel and General, and Correlation Risk Partners.
