Reinsurers can see rate at mid-year renewals above the broker view

Reinsurers could take rate from the mid-year Florida property cat renewals in excess of the rough and ready consensus discernable from broker chatter as middle-layers face less pressure from cat bonds and as private placements skew the view, analysts at the Jeffries equity brokerage have claimed.
