Reinsurers’ ray of Suncorp: Aussies spend more as market softens

Australian property insurer Suncorp will up its reinsurance spend for the coming season despite the softening of the market, adding some new structures to its main cat programme after having added a major aggregate deal as recently as April, management said in a statement following 1/7 renewals.
