RenaissanceRe defends property cat 1.1 as rates slip, trims casualty

Global reinsurance group RenaissanceRe defended its property cat book against falling rates with new volumes at 1.1 while making selective cuts to its casualty book to end-around lines hit by loss inflation, top officials have claimed.
