‘We’re on track’: Canopius sharpens reinsurance and specialty push in APAC

Canopius is pursuing a focused, deliberate growth strategy in Asia-Pacific, centred on strengthening underwriting rather than chasing market swings. As it works to rebalance its APAC book by bringing reinsurance to around 50 percent of the regional portfolio, the company is prioritising treaty capability, adding seasoned underwriters, and reinforcing the operational infrastructure needed for scale.
