SiriusPoint trims reinsurance book as CEO warns of market headwinds

Bermuda-based specialty underwriter SiriusPoint grew core gross written premium 6% in the second quarter of 2026, as a 15% expansion in its insurance & services book outweighed a deliberate 9% reduction in reinsurance premium.
