Softer reinsurance pricing must not erode property underwriting discipline, KBRA warns

A quieter Atlantic hurricane season may ease near-term catastrophe risk for US property & casualty insurers, but carriers should not allow stronger balance sheets and softer reinsurance pricing to erode underwriting discipline, according to ratings agency KBRA.
