Sompo snags chief investment officer from PartnerRe

Bermuda-based Sompo, the global property and casualty re/insurance arm of Sompo Holdings, has appointed a financial services veteran from PartnerRe as its chief investment officer, succeeding Mark Silverstein, who is retiring after an 18 year tenure at Sompo.
