South Korean insurers face capital challenges under stringent K-ICS standard

The adoption of the Korean-Insurance Capital Standards (K-ICS) a year ago, which introduced more stringent risk measurement criteria, has resulted in a reduction in the average solvency ratio across South Korea's insurance sector, according to a new report by AM Best.
