Swiss Re hunts and pecks casualty-specialty, just hopes in property

Swiss Re’s signs of growth in casualty reinsurance lines need not suggest a lowering of any guardrails as dangerous US liability exposures or other trouble spots from Swiss Re’s past remain an anathema, CEO Andreas Berger (pictured) has indicated. Specialty lines offer select areas for outright growth. Swiss Re is grabbing at comparative straws for hopes to withstand softening in property.
