Swiss Re ups book by 7% at July renewals; net pricing down 2%

Global reinsurance group Swiss Re managed 7% premium growth at the July treaty renewals on a 2% decline in risk- and inflation-adjusted pricing, with gains tilted heavily towards the property and specialty books, but with casualty returning to modest growth after heavy cuts in the year to date.
