This year’s hurricane season — all quiet save for record run of Cat-5s

The 2025 Atlantic hurricane season may have snuck under the radar thanks to a reduced storm count and dearth of landfalls, but managed the “above normal” status as several monster storms balanced the count, Colorado State University’s Tropical Weather & Climate Research department said in its season review.
