UK insurance distribution M&A records slowest first half in nine years

UK insurance distribution merger and acquisition (M&A) activity has fallen to its slowest first-half pace since 2017, with only 41 transactions announced in the first six months of 2026 as buyers and sellers continue to navigate a subdued market, according to MarshBerry.
