US federal emergency agency turns to reinsurers; transfers $758m in risk

The US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has covered more of the losses it could face through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) with reinsurers to help manage risks from catastrophic flood losses.
