US insurance job counts edge down in Dec, put 2025 losses near 17k

The US insurance sector may have trimmed headcounts yet again to end the year, potentially bringing the industry’s job losses to 16,600 for 2025 after massive hiring the year prior, the latest reading from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics suggested.
