US insurance job counts pare back in August to cap volatile summer

The job count in the US insurance sector may have fallen by as much as 5,500 in August, the fifth month of decline in 2025 that may have cut the YTD gain to as little as 1,200 jobs, a preliminary release from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics indicated.
