US insurance job losses mount further in August; 10M total at 77,500

The US insurance industry may have continued its pink slip parade for a tenth month, shedding an estimated 6,300 jobs in August to bring the 10-month total to 77,500, the longest uninterrupted stretch of declines since a 13-month run ended in December 2010 after the great financial crisis.
