US nuclear verdicts rise over 40%, four cases exceed $1bn: Marathon

The number of “nuclear” verdicts against corporate defendants in the US has increased by 41% in 2025 with nearly 200 cases reaching at least $10 million – the highest annual total recorded by Marathon Strategies since 2009.
