US personal lines swings back into profit, deliver best margins since pandemic

US personal lines insurance swung rapidly to an underwriting profit in 2024, led by improvements in automotive, sufficient to deliver margins above the broader P&C industry for the first time since before the pandemic, say analysts at ratings agency AM Best.
