US private market insured losses from Helene could hit $14bn: Moody’s RMS

Moody’s RMS Event Response estimates total US private market insured losses from Hurricane Helene to be between $8 and $14 billion, with a best estimate of $11 billion. This estimate represents insured losses associated with wind, storm surge, and precipitation-induced flooding from the event.
