Zurich seals $670m deal for majority stake in Indian general insurer

Swiss insurer Zurich Insurance Group has secured a majority stake in India’s Kotak General Insurance for $670 million, marking what Zurich calls the first foreign insurer entry into India since India’s rules on foreign direct investment changed in 2021.
