AIG profit slumps on Fortitude Re losses, yet CEO bullish on 2024 growth

Global re/insurance conglomerate American International Group (AIG) saw its profit plunge in both the fourth quarter and full-year 2023. However, its CEO remains optimistic, citing strong momentum and improved underwriting as key drivers for growth in 2024.
