Aspen nabs Berkley talent to lead US inland marine
Aspen Insurance tapped talent from Berkley to lead its inland marine unit as head of product and underwriting.
Michael Tate will take the newly created post from Chicago and be responsible for the design and implementation of insurance solutions for US inland marine, handling broker relations and collaborating with Aspen’s First Party lines of coverage.
Prior to Aspen, Tate served as chief underwriting officer at Berkley fire & marine since 2021. Before that, he was with rising the ranks at The Hartford from 2005 including as head of marine.
