Aviva gets nod for $5bn Direct Line deal; lines up new leadership

UK insurance giant Aviva has completed its takeover of rival Direct Line Group for £3.7 billion ($5.1 billion) after months of talks, a deal sweetener, and final regulatory approval yesterday (July 1).
