Cats kill Conduit's CoR target in 2024, California did it for 2025

Upstart reinsurer Conduit Re has taken cat events on the shins, suffering a major hit to margins in 2024 which may already have curtailed appetite at 1.1, then admitting that California wildfires have already doomed its margin target for 2025.
