European storms generate €3.3bn insured loss estimate: Perils

Perils has estimated an initial insurance market loss of €3.296 billion from severe convective storms that affected France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy in late August, marking the second European storm event of 2026 to generate industry losses exceeding €2 billion.
